WARNING: THIS POST IS IMAGE-HEAVY!!
I returned from my trip quite a while ago, but haven't posted the blog post I promised 'til now because I've been busy and haven't really gotten the time to go through all my photos and stuff yet ><
Ok.. more like I was too lazy and not really in the mood to go through my photos and stuff >_> BUT NOW I AM so here's my post about my trip XD
In total, my trip was 8 days with a total of a little over 1000 pictures. I only selected some photos to put up here, though.
*Note: Some of what I say may not be 100% accurate because most of what I say is from my memory. If I have a "(?)", it means I'm uncertain about the accuracy of what I said. My post is 100% based on my experience.
DAY 1
We spent the day on the plane and in a car whatnot... not that exciting haha... ._.
Passed by Calgary, and I was so surprised about the tax! 5% tax... why can't Ontario be like this.... $5.25 for a foot-long sub at Subway... WHY CAN'T WE HAVE NICE THINGS LIKE THAT IN ONTARIO! ;A;
Have a picture of the sub I got that day: an egg salad sub ~

Also, the street lights in Alberta are horizontal?? It looks weird to me since I'm used to vertical street lights XD It looks pretty cool, though.
We also drove through the prairies! It is what it is... just flat land and a lot of grass, lol
After driving for a while, we finally got close up with the mountains! (that you see in the background in the picture above)
This part was really exciting for me since I've rarely ever seen mountains in my life XD ...besides in China when I was like... 6? Which I barely remember...

Finally arrived at Banff! It's such a pretty, small town! (filled with tourists)
(Also excuse the black bar and border cause I took this picture from inside the car...)

We spent the rest of the day relaxing in our hotel room (in which I spent watching anime...) We also had a mountain view from our hotel room window!
DAY 2
We woke up really early to go on the gondola. Luckily, the timezone difference made waking up early (in Banff time) really easily. The gondola brought us to the top of Sulphur mountain, where we hiked for a bit (and I got beautiful photos)!

Near the top (where an abandoned Sulphur Mountain Cosmic Ray station was), we ran into a cute chipmunk (?) in which I was able to get pretty close-up shots of! (Also, was reminded of my physics project with all the cosmic ray and light information...)
For lunch, the majority of my family had burgers and my mom had quesadilla (which were really good, btw! or maybe that's just because I rarely eat anything other food besides Asian food...)
In the afternoon, we went to the Cave and Basin to walk on trails and visit a cave. It was pretty cloudy and rained for a little bit, though.
While leaving the Cave and Basin, we also sighted an elk (?) near the parking lot!
We later visited a supermarket to do some grocery shopping. If you guys know me, I have an obsession with spring rolls, but this price is RIDICULOUS. I just had to snap a picture for memories XD (of ridiculous prices...)
In the evening, we walked around the town of Banff, where I had my first-ever Beavertail! THEY'RE SO GOOD ;A; <3 It's like eating fried candy ~
DAY 3
We woke up early (again) to visit Lake Minnewanka for a 1 hour lake cruise; or as I like to call it... Lake Willy Wonka!! The highlight of this lake visit has to be the Devil's Gap.

After the lake cruise, we decided to walk around (and also got some nice pictures!)
In the afternoon, we visited the small museum in Banff. What interested me the most was The Classroom, which was about residential schools for native peoples in Canadian history, and another piece: a picture story about a man's dream and being mauled by a bear drawn on animal skin. (Sorry, I don't remember details about these pieces because I didn't take a picture of the written information that went along with them)
